POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is a Global Network Lead (GNL) role for Quality System. As such, is in charge of build a network between regions, set (jointly) with the regions standards and encourage and facilitate inter regional activities aiming to ensure continuous improvement of the Quality System processes, their performance measurement and management. Builds the global network of functional excellence and functional alignment for what concern Quality System.
Main objective of this position is to orchestrate regional implementation of Quality Management System in each region, per their local and broader needs. Plan & conducting internal audits in each region seeking compliance and continuous improvement. Ensure their full transparency. F-up on correctness & effectiveness of execution. Provide active support to regions.
Main responsibilities
- GBPO: Define/Optimize PDCA processes, ensure training & support to regions for their execution. Ensure standard Templates are made available to regions. This meant for all Quality system related processes as well as in support of all other SCM functions and workstreams ion their processes.
- QMS Performance: Define standardized performance Metrics and Measurement Systems, for QMS. Ensure their full visibility and transparency and F-up on correctness of execution and effectiveness. Ensure, and actively support each region in deploy dedicated resources for an effective QMS auditing & development & performance improvement.
- Quality Strategy: Ensure that each region define and execute the Quality strategy in line with Customers and Norms requirements, and f-up on their execution and effectiveness. Ensure critical perspective on the regional strategies in seeking opportunities or highlight overlooked risks, as well as reviewing and counterbalancing inter-regional dependencies.
- Quality Risk Management: Ensure risk management framework is established in each region and f-up on effectiveness in each region
- Quality Management System: Orchestrate regional implementation of Quality Management System in each region, per their local and broader needs. Act as independent 3rd party auditor, planning & conducting internal audits in each region seeking compliance and continuous improvement.
- Support Regions: Actively support regions next to them in front of specific cases, as well act as facilitator in intra-regional Quality related topics.
- Facilitate Alignment: Ensure continuous alignment and active systematic interactions are kept between all regional stakeholder in Quality & Lessons learned and best practice sharing.
- Monitor execution of local best practices in Quality System management and, where seen effectiveness and success in a specific region, take actively the lead in spreading the best practice in all other applicable Regions.
- This position does not have direct reports but will be responsible for managing efforts as they pertain to the QMS and auditing functions which will include managing teams. This role works directly with all QMS process owners across business departments in the regions, to ensure active engagement and compliance with their portion(s) of the QMS.
- On the need, the individual is also responsible for hosting/performing internal and external audits for customer and regulatory bodies. Additionally, the individual is responsible for ensuring all post-audit actions and activities are addressed in a timely manner to close the audit.
- On the need, the individual is responsible for training others to the QMS, and ensuring that their competence and understanding of the QMS is adequate.
- On the need, the individual is also responsible for leading management reviews, risk assessments, Problem solving, continuous improvement activities, and drive associated actions to closure.
- On the need, the individual shall investigate QMS compliance concerns and establish corrective action by working with the respective Departments as required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Travelling: the position requires availability to travel at Customers, Suppliers, our own plants, for continuous improvement, problem solving, training, audits, best practices, quality related events.
- Educational Level: Master Level
- Professional Experience: 6-8 years of relevant experience
- Leadership Level: Leading Others
- Network Leadership: Demonstrated strong ability in pro-actively create and feed a network of peers in each region for what pertain to the QMS, and gradually take its lead, though not having any reporting line with them (not straight, nor dotted)
- Communication: Demonstrated strong ability to interact and communicate in English, including demonstrable writing, speaking, and comprehension skills; ability to communicate efficiently and effectively across different levels and disciplines within the organization.
- Experience with internal and external auditing. Ideal candidate is a certified Lead Auditor ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 or VDA 6.3 and have demonstrated ability to perform and host internal and external audits.
- Experience with implementing and/or managing a quality system that is ISO9001 / IATF 16949 compliant is preferred. A qualification as internal auditor IATF 16949 is best.
- Experience with IMDS and Conflict Mineral is preferred.
- Demonstrated strong ability to understand, maintain and develop procedures, controlled documents, and processes; as well as ability to demonstrate knowledge in reading and understanding procedures, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with a QMS in a disciplined regulated industry (Ideally one of aerospace, automotive, pharma or military) and regulatory surveillance experience preferred.
- Experience leading individuals and/or teams and managing deliverables to be completed on time.
- Experience with business application implementation projects, including being an active contributor on projects with scheduled deliverables.
- Demonstrated experience with APQP/PPAP, FMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, MSA and Gauge R&R.
- Ability to thrive in an environment where business and team needs may change to help meet business and customer demands.
- Self-starting and proactive through continuous engagement within the organization.
- Adaptable to day-to-day changes and is capable of reprioritizing actions to support business, regulatory, and customer demands.
- Willing to be trained or be sent to training for additional education in a fast-paced and growing industry.
- Ability to work as well individually as with a multidisciplinary and multisite team in large- and small-scale projects. Additionally, manage individuals and/or groups for QMS related events.
- Versed in basic Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- Used to Microsoft Sharepoint environment and applications (Including Power BI)
