With demand for their services increasing by the day, they are currently looking for a
General Manager based in Malaysia to lead the company's P&L while driving growth, identifying opportunities, and establishing new businesses to expand regional market presence.
Job Description
Among the many responsibilities, some are as follows:
- Market Expansion:
- Drive business growth and market expansion by identifying new business opportunities and expanding client portfolios, not limited to within the aviation, tourism, and hospitality sectors.
- Lead initiatives to retain existing clients and secure new airline and tourism representation contracts.
- Team Leadership:
- Set performance targets and monitor key metrics to assess the effectiveness of business development initiatives.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure the oice operates within budget while optimizing resources and controlling costs.
- General Sales Agent (GSA) Representation:
- Oversee GSA services for airline clients, ensuring seamless sales, ticketing, and distribution.
- Develop and implement initiatives to drive ticket sales, maximize revenue, and enhance brand visibility in the region.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to drive growth and expand market share within assigned region.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Financial Management:
- Monitor financial performance, ensuring profitability and controlling expenses.
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for the office.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and company financial policies.
The Successful Applicant
Requirements
The successful candidate must have proven track record in commercial sales management and revenue generation within the Aviation, Airline, Tourism sector, with a particular emphasis on leadership and P&L management capabilities. It's critical you have an all-rounded experience and must possess the requirements below:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Aviation, Tourism, or related fields.
- At least 10 years of senior commercial experience in travel, airlines, or GSA business, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
- Demonstrated success in managing a profitable business and achieving revenue targets, with prior experience in managing large projects with long sales cycle.
- In-depth knowledge of the aviation market, regulatory environment, trade practices, and GSA business.
- Excellent written, oral communication & presentation skills in English.
