Oversee all day-to-day operations of the foreign worker hostel/dormitory, including housekeeping, maintenance, and setting SOP for Foreign workers hostel management operations.
Ensure that the hostel is clean, safe, and well-maintained meeting all health and safety standards.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures tailored to the needs of foreign workers.
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and manage hostel managers and executives, fostering a culture of respect, professionalism and service excellence.
Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
Manage staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operation of all hostel functions.
Ensure all staff are aware of and comply with health and safety standards and hostel-specific protocols.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize revenue.
Analyze financial reports and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Implement cost control measures without compromising guest experience or safety.
Coordinate with the accounting department to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Marketing and Sales:
Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract and increase occupancy rates.
Manage online presence, including social media and review platforms, to enhance the hostel's reputation.
Build relationships with local businesses or corporations to promote the hostel.
Analyze market trends and competitor performance to identify opportunities for growth.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure the hostel complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety, employment, and environmental laws.
Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
Maintain accurate records related to compliance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure all licensing, permits and certifications are up to date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
10 years of experience in dormitory or hostel management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Experience in managing accommodation facilities specifically for foreign workers is highly preferred.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Strong knowledge of health, safety and accommodation regulations related to foreign workers.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
