We are looking for a skilled BI-GCP Developer with 5-8 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in building and maintaining Business Intelligence (BI) solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly utilizing Looker Studio, BigQuery, views, and SQL. While not mandatory, familiarity with Python and banking domain knowledge would be advantageous. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing and developing BI solutions tailored to the needs of our banking domain stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain BI solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Looker Studio, BigQuery, and other GCP services.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for BI dashboards, reports, and analytics.
- Design and implement LookML models, views, and explores in Looker Studio to visualize and analyze data from BigQuery and other data sources.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views in BigQuery to extract, transform, and manipulate large datasets.
- Design and implement data models, schemas, and relationships in BigQuery to support efficient data analysis and reporting.
- Work closely with data engineers and architects to ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity in BI solutions.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of BI queries, reports, and dashboards to improve response times and usability.
- Develop custom data transformations, calculations, and aggregations as needed to meet business requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation for BI solutions, including data dictionaries, technical specifications, and user guides.
- Stay informed about new features, updates, and best practices in BI tools, GCP services, and data analytics within the banking domain.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience in BI development, with a focus on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem.
- Proficiency in Looker Studio for building and customizing BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in developing complex queries, views, and stored procedures in BigQuery or similar databases.
- Experience with data modelling, schema design, and optimization techniques in BigQuery.
- Familiarity with banking domain concepts, data structures, and regulatory requirements would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation tasks would be a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex data requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at various levels.
