JOB SUMMARY:The Line Furniture Designer is responsible for conceptualizing and developing innovative, stylish and functional furniture designs that meet the needs of the target market. This role involves collaboration with manufacturing teams, selecting materials, and ensuring designs can be produced efficiently within budget constraints.
Create original furniture designs based on market trends, customer feedback and company guidelines.
- Develop sketches, models and prototypes to present design concepts.
Research and select appropriate materials.- Work closely with production teams to create prototypes and test designs for functionality, comfort and durability.
Modify designs based on feedback.
- Stay updated on industry trends, design innovations, and emerging materials.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
Bachelor Degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Interior Design, or a related field.- Proficiency in design software (e.g; AutoCAD, SketchUp)
Strong sense of aesthetics and an eye for detail.
- Ability to translate abstract concepts into functional and appealing designs.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and vendors.- Prior experience in furniture design, interior design or related field preferred.
