JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:- Plan, coordinate, and manage logistics activities across multiple locations, ensuring safety and cost-effectiveness to meet company business requirements. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while maintaining good governance and integrity.
Prepare, coordinate, and process payments for customs duties, GST/SST, and advance payments to company's vendors/sub-vendors for submission to company's finance department to facilitate the expediting process.- Manage ad-hoc and urgent logistics requests to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Monitor and manage freight forwarding performance.
- Ensure documents are uploaded in Web PILS as required.
Expedite the delivery of materials and services as needed by the company.- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for inbound and outbound shipments.
Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and sensitivity of information, adhering to company processes, guidelines, procedures, and regulations at all times.
- Plan and manage haulers for import and export shipments.
Represent the company in dealings with local authorities (e.g., Customs/OGA) for day-to-day escalations.- Coordinate with liners and freight forwarders regarding detention and demurrage issues.
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or equivalent qualification.- Minimum of 3 years of experience at the supervisory level, preferably with exposure to the logistics and freight forwarding industry.
Professional qualifications in Freight Forwarding or Logistics are a plus.
