Job Description

The Financial Controller will handle high-level accounting, financial reporting, managerial accounting, and oversee the financial controls of the company. She/He will manage and supervise all aspects of accounting from payroll to tax compliance, assist with financial planning, as well as the development of finance policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:


Develop financial policies and procedural manuals
Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results
Facilitate the budget planning process and controls, as well as periodic review of annual budget in line with actual performance
Manage credit control and financial risk management
Oversee treasury management
Allocate financial resources, project and manage cash flows, and advise on the optimal use of funds
Conduct profit and cost analyses
Develop secure procedures to maintain confidential information
Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with relevant policies, laws and regulations
Recommend cost-optimizing solutions
Ensure that all settlements relating to receivables are duly substantiated and authorized
Prepare and present financial and statistical models, forecast and outlooks
Manage the preparation of the company's statutory and management
accounts
Assist the GM in overseeing the companys financial operations

Qualifications

Requirements:


Good analytical and organizational skills
Financial & business acumen
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent team spirit and leadership
High standards of professionalism and ethics

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting from a recognized university/polytechnic.
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in a senior finance or accounting position or 2 years of experience in similar capacity.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) will be an added advantage.

Fully conversant in accounting principles and financial regulation standards.
