Position: Finance Operations (Account Payable)
Job purpose
Responsible in handling account payable activities in good governance, reconciliation and compile relevant financial analytical information for management decision making.
Key Accountabilities
Daily cash flow forecast for payable activities.
Manage payment processing for Policies claims, benefits payout and withdrawal / refund on daily basis.
Payment arrangement to vendor, staff or agents within agreed turnaround time.
Recognize claim expenses and ensure tally with daily claim, benefits payout and withdrawal/ refund made.
Follow up with banker on daily reports.
Payment proposal / verification in accordance to mandate compliance and Delegated of Authority (DA).
To obtain approval from Finance Operations head / Finance DA for Adhoc payment, cash advance and payment with non GIRO / TT mode.
APS verification on payment requisition / claims submission.
Validate interface details in Peoplesoft from APS.
Details maintenance for manual request payment.
Payment reference (Cheque Number & Date) maintenance in Peoplesoft.
RDB reconciliation and follow through matching activity.
Prepare journal and support month end closing activities.
New vendor validation and processing, account creation in APS.
Petty Cash Management.
Receipt Book management.
Process stop payment request.
Withholding Tax processing.
Undertake and support on system enhancement and testing activities relating to Finance (e.g. UAT to support system upgrade).
Promote e-Payment mode and initiative to reduce cheque and cash payment inline with central bank direction.
Process improvement initiative in area of accounts payable and recording activities to ensure optimum efficiencies.
Liaise and work with internal & external auditor.
Establish and constantly update detail working manual & SOP to avoid / mitigate business disruption and promote transparency.
