Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting Tracerco at their office in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia in the recruitment of a newly created Finance Manager to support the finance function This role will provide hands on financial and management accounting leadership alongside responsibility for financial reporting and analysis. This role has management responsibility of a small team within the APAC region, along with a strong business partnering focus and vision.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts and financial models to support the companies business strategy/ Analyse financial performance and prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, payroll and monthly/annual closing activities. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP.
- Ensuring compliance with Malaysia and Singapore financial regulations and Tracerco's internal financial policies. Conducting regular risk assessments and implement controls to safeguard company assets.
- Manage tax compliance, filings and liaise with external auditors during statutory audits. Ensuring effective tax planning and compliance with local tax laws.
- Providing financial insights to support decision making for business growth, acting as a key partner to the operational teams.
- Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering a collaborative environment and continuous improvement.
As the ideal candidate you will be:
- ACA/ACCA or CIMA Qualified.
- Solid background in financial management and reporting alongside people management experience.
- Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
- Knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations - familiarity with local tax, compliance and financial reporting requirements.
- Proven experience in leading a team with experience of mentoring and developing talent.
- Advance knowledge of Excel and other financial analysis tools.
