We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our team at ThunderQuote. The Finance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health of the company by overseeing financial operations, compliance, and reporting. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide valuable financial insights to support decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and legal requirements.
Prepare and submit accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.- Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns and other statutory filings.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to maintain internal controls.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies to support the companys goals.
Monitor and manage the company's financial resources, including investments, assets, and working capital.- Secure financial resources for the company, such as negotiating and securing loans.
Manage grant elements, including identifying potential grants, applying for them, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
- Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to identify opportunities for growth and cost savings.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.- Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
Supervise and mentor finance staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Develop, manage, and monitor the companys budget to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Manage cash flow to ensure the company can meet its financial obligations.- Analyze company costs and implement measures to control expenses and improve profitability.
Provide management with financial data and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare management account reports, including variance analysis and financial performance reviews.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support for business initiatives.- Utilize financial modeling and data analysis to forecast future financial performance and trends.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in finance management
- Thrives on the challenge of working in an SME or startup environment with minimal resources, turning constraints into opportunities for growth and innovation.
Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role in a corporate environment.- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
