Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Finance Manager/Senior Associate to join our client's team. This role is pivotal in managing compliance, financial operations, and supporting fund activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead financial analysis, providing insights, management reports, and recommendations on financial, operational, and business matters.
- Prepare financial projections for funds/initiatives, coordinate the annual budgeting process, and contribute to strategic documentation as required.
- Develop and manage reporting tools to monitor financial results and cash flows, enabling timely and informed decision-making.
Finance and Operations
- Oversee financial and tax reporting processes.
- Participate in tax structuring and lead the establishment and liquidation of funds and special-purpose vehicles.
- Review constitution documents and calculations for closings, IRRs, management fees, carried interest, capital calls, and distributions.
- Lead the annual audit and tax filing processes in collaboration with fund administrators, auditors, and tax agents.
- Ensure compliance with constitution documents and regulatory requirements, including related reporting.
- Liaise with custodians, company secretaries, and banks, managing relationships with key counterparties.
- Align accounting practices with group policies and internal controls.
- Provide operational support to the investment team for deal execution and exits.
- Participate in the investment committee process and monitor the performance and restructuring of portfolio companies.
- Coordinate board meetings and resolutions for fund-related entities.
- Stay updated on accounting pronouncements and tax incentive schemes, providing relevant updates to the team.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on new platform initiatives and regulatory or management reporting.
- Address any other ad-hoc responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher, with a CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years of finance and accounting experience, preferably within the private equity fund industry, with prior audit experience being an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Proven ability to drive projects and meet deadlines.
- A strategic mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated, with the capacity to independently manage deliverables.
