What you'll do (Responsibilities)
We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious Finance Manager to take ownership of the activities detailed below.
General
- Establishing key performance metrics for each finance function and ensuring these metrics are consistently smashed.
- Understanding evolving customer needs, both internal and external, and ensuring the team is well-placed to exceed customer expectations.
- Working effectively across the organization to ensure the successful execution of cross-functional projects.
- Use new technologies to improve efficiencies and capabilities within the organization
- Continuous review of performance and future needs to ensure team scales efficiently and effectively.
Accounting Activities
- Prepare monthly management accounts in a timely manner. This includes Balance Sheet Reconciliations in addition to P&L and Cashflow analysis.
- Review all A/P transactions ensuring budgets are adhered to, transactions are properly coded and urgent payments are executed.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables.
- Coordinate annual audit and monthly/annual tax fillings.
- Actively work on building out the functionality of the Accounting system.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects including cost saving and revenue generating opportunities.
- Implement scalable processes to ensure finance operations run smoothly during periods of hypergrowth.
FP&A Activities
- Maintain a robust financial model that provides the senior leadership team and investors with a clear picture of the financial roadmap
- Review financial data to understand opportunities for greater sales growth and cost savings
- Prepare monthly financial analysis
Performance measurement
- Cash vs Budget
- A/R Days
- Monthly # of review comments for Management Accounts
- # of Business Days to Close
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
- CPA / CA strongly preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting
- Working knowledge in spreadsheets, MS Office and financial software applications
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
