Job Description
You will in be in charge of
- Financial Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and motivate a team of finance professionals, providing coaching, development opportunities, and ensuring adherence to internal controls and accounting practices.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department, ensuring efficient and effective financial processes.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all financial reporting activities, including monthly closes, budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
- Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard financial data and assets.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Financial Analysis & Planning:
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support budgeting and strategic planning processes.
- Participate in the budgeting process, collaborating with different departments to create realistic and achievable financial plans.
- Strategic Decision Making & Support:
- Provide financial analysis and insights to inform strategic decision-making at various levels of the organization.
- Partner with other departments (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Operations) to translate financial information into actionable insights that support their goals.
- Conduct research and stay updated on current economic trends and financial regulations that may impact the organization.
- Risk Management & Communication:
- Identify and assess potential financial risks, developing strategies to mitigate them.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management regarding financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare clear and concise financial reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
The Successful Applicant
You will be suitable for the this role if you
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA a plus).
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a finance role, with some experience in a leadership capacity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, financial modeling software).
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and internal control frameworks.
