Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's objectives.
- Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Analyze market trends, financial reports, and forecasts to provide insights and recommendations.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and manage financial risks associated with the commodities trading market.
- Implement risk management policies and procedures to mitigate financial exposure.
Budget Management:
- Oversee the preparation and management of the company's budgets.
- Monitor and control expenditures to ensure alignment with the approved budget.
Internal Controls:
- Develop and maintain internal control systems to safeguard financial assets.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Cash Flow Management:
- Manage the company's cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
- Optimize cash management strategies to enhance financial performance.
Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
- Build and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in a finance role, preferably in the commodities trading industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards in Malaysia.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
- Experience with financial software and Kingdee systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
