Finance Intern

Join us aboard at Geek Fam MY! We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our team. The Intern will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of finance and accounting, supporting the finance team with daily tasks, projects, and reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain practical experience and grow their skills in a professional setting.

As our Finance Intern, you will:

1. Assist seniors on the company financial reporting structure both internally and externally.
2. Assist with weekly company transactions.
3. Work on bank reconciliations.
4. Work on journal entries posting to the accounting software.
5. Responsible for day-to-day finance tasks, including general support, data entry in record keeping, and maintaining a good filing system to ensure efficient operation of the office.
6. Create and update databases and records for financial information, personnel and other data.
7. To perform ad-hoc tasks as and when required and assigned by the Manager.
8. Contribute to the finance team in any way that they require assistance.

Requirements:

1. Currently pursuing a diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
2. Basic understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Attention to detail and organizational skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
