Overall Role:
Ensures financial accuracy by closing the books monthly, reconciling accounts, and generating reports. Supports audits, analyzes financials, and prepares budgets to aid in informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, and maintaining appropriate supporting documentation. Ensure all accounting records are properly recorded and reconciled from time to time.
Proper reconciliations of accounts, ensuring that balances are accurate and discrepancies are promptly resolved, if any. Collaborate with other functions teams, such as Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, to resolve any issues.
Generate various management and financial reports on regular basis, such as monthly income statements and balance sheets.
Assist in and support the yearly audit process by preparing schedules, providing requested documentation, and assisting auditors with inquiries.
Assist in analysing financial data and prepare ad-hoc reports to support management decision-making.
Assist and support in the preparation of budget reports and perform analysis of variances between approved budgets and actual expenditures.
Any ad-hoc reporting projects or other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in financial analysis or reporting (fresh graduates with strong analytical skills are encouraged to apply)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
