Job Overview:The Finance Executive at Brixsten Academy will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the academy, ensuring that all financial activities are managed effectively and in accordance with the institutions policies. This role is critical in supporting the academy's mission by maintaining financial health and ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
Financial Management: Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of Brixsten Academy, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Budgeting & Planning: Collaborate with the management team to prepare and monitor the academys annual budget. Provide financial forecasts and ensure the academy operates within the approved budget.
Accounts Payable/Receivable:
Manage the academys accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and collection of fees. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the management and board of directors. Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support decision-making.Payroll Management: Oversee the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and benefits to all staff members.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and policies. Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.
Fee Management:
Monitor and manage student fee collection, providing regular updates on fee status and addressing any discrepancies or issues that arise.Cost Control:
Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies within the academy. Implement strategies to reduce unnecessary expenses.Financial Support for Projects: Provide financial support for various academy projects, including funding proposals, financial planning, and expenditure tracking.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve financial processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Stakeholder Communication:
Liaise with parents, suppliers, and other stakeholders regarding financial matters. Provide clear and transparent communication regarding fees, payments, and other financial inquiries.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within an educational institution or similar environment.Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, particularly in the education sector.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
