Failure Analysis Technician

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Highly motivated technician willing to contribute at the highest level.
• Demonstrates the desire to learn various technical areas, has out-of-the-box thinking, and can bring creative ideas and solutions to technical challenges.
• Performing multiple failure analysis techniques to characterize media and other HDD components, as we support both development and manufacture of HDD media.
• Responsible for investigating and analyzing product failures usingOptical Microscope, Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM),OSA and ZYGO to determine failure defect and support the development of solutions that enhance product reliability.
• Hands-on skills and technical expertise will play a critical role in our quality assurance processes.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Diploma in Engineering or related field from a recognized institution.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Fundamentals of Engineering:Understanding of core engineering principles and concepts relevant to the specific engineering discipline.
• Problem-Solving Abilities:Ability to analyze problems, develop solutions, and implement them effectively.

PRACTICAL SKILLS

• Hands-On Experience:Experience with laboratory work (Optical Microscope, Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) , OSA , Zygo , project-based learning, or internships that provide practical application of engineering concepts.
• Project Management:Basic skills in managing projects, including planning, execution, and reporting.

SOFT SKILLS:

• Communication Skills:Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas and collaborate.
• Teamwork:Ability to work effectively in a team environment, contributing to group projects and discussions.
• Adaptability:Flexibility to learn new concepts and technologies and adapt to changing work environments.
