Four Seasons Hotel and Residences is part of a 65-storey mixed-use tower that will include 242 Four Seasons Private Residences, 27 serviced apartments, a 209-key Four Seasons Hotel and a six- floor of 250,000 square foot luxury retail podium, collectively known as Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur. F&B ORDER TAKER ROOM SERVICE
F&B Order Taker - Room Service is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our ever-discriminating guests. Always just a telephone call away, around the clock, the Room Service team provides a wide selection of food and beverage options delivered to the comfort of guests rooms. The friendly and courteous voice of the Room Service Team, the F&B Order Taker receives all guests requests for a Room Service experience. The F&B Order Taker is an authority on all available food menus, including daily specials, alternative cuisine and all beverage lists. This position makes recommendations to accommodate guests preferences and dietary restrictions. The F&B Order Taker oversees the entire sequence of service ensuring guest orders are correctly processed and carried out by the servers within the stated delivery time according to Four Seasons Standards.
We are looking for an individual who poses an affinity for guest service! Attention to detail, the ability to problem solves and multitask are required. This position involves a heavy volume of guest contact and fluency in reading, writing, and spoken English is required. The ability to assume responsibility of the department in absence of a manager is essential. The F&B Order Taker ensures all orders meet Four Seasons Standards and Sequence of Service and any guest complaints are promptly shared with the Room Service Manager for immediate follow up. The ideal candidate will also have solid food and beverage knowledge, pleasant voice and a positive attitude.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
Answer telephone using courteous, efficient telephone etiquette while obtaining all information necessary to process the guests order according to Four Seasons Standards, describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each items, origin, taste, and preparation methods.
Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotels point-of-sales system; check completed kitchen orders with the guests original order; coordinate delivery of items to the guestroom by Room Service Servers in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality; properly and accurately close guest checks; record guest charges and gratuities.
Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
Coordinate amenities deliver by ensuring that all requests are received, filed, ordered from kitchen and delivered in a prompt and accurate fashion.
The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management.
Candidates must speak read and write Bahasa Malaysia as well as being fluent in English. Must have the right to work in Malaysia.
