Senior IT/EC Engineer
Responsibilities:
LINUX:
Manage and maintain a fleet of over 100 Linux systems.
Perform system administration tasks, including user management, security patching, software updates, and performance optimization.
Write Python and Bash scripts to automate repetitive tasks and streamline processes, saving time and effort.
STORAGE:
Master the intricacies of Netapp storage solutions, ensuring efficient data provisioning, allocation, and disaster recovery.
Optimize performance and capacity utilization.
NETWORK:
Configure and manage complex network infrastructure, including switches, routers, access point and firewalls.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain robust connectivity.
Implement and enforce network security policies.
FIREWALL:
Manage and maintain our firewall appliances, ensuring robust security posture and filtering malicious traffic.
Stay up-to-date on evolving threats and adapt security configurations accordingly.
OTHERS:
Collaborate effectively with other IT personnel and department stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance and support to ensure smooth operation across the organization.
Designing and developing software applications tailored to engineering needs.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
Implementing algorithms and mathematical models for simulations and data analysis.
Testing and debugging software to ensure functionality and reliability.
Optimizing software performance and ensuring scalability.
Documenting software designs, processes, and procedures.
Providing technical support and training to end-users as needed.
Staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in engineering software.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (required).
Minimum 5 years of experience as an IT Engineer, with a proven track record of success in similar roles.
Expert knowledge of Python and Bash scripting.
Extensive experience with Linux systems administration.
Familiarity with Docker Containers and NetApp Storage (a plus).
Experience in network and switch configuration (a plus).
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
