Executive Technical Analyst

Job Description

To analyse, evaluate, and enhance technical systems and processes related to digital banking operations, such as transaction processing, risk management, compliance, and customer service. They ensure that the bank's technology infrastructure meets optimum performance requirements, regulatory requirements, security standards, and operational needs, while also identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency improvement within the banking services and products offered to digital banking customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Integration Management: Managing the integration of new banking technologies, applications, and systems with existing infrastructure to ensure seamless operation.

2. Project Management: Leading or participating in projects related to the implementation of new banking technologies, system upgrades, or process improvements.

3. System Analysis and Design: Analysing existing and new banking systems, processes, and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement, enhancement and optimization.

4. Technical Support: Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to banking staff for issues related to banking software, applications, and systems.

5. Security and Compliance: Ensuring that banking systems comply with regulatory requirements and security standards, and implementing measures to protect sensitive financial data.

6. Data Management: Analysing banking data to extract insights and inform decision-making processes, as well as ensuring data integrity and security.

7. Vendor Management: Liaising with technology vendors to evaluate products and services, negotiate contracts, and oversee the implementation of vendor solutions.

8. Training and Documentation: Providing training to banking staff on new technologies and systems, as well as creating documentation and user guides to support system usage.

9. Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, risk management, and compliance, to ensure alignment of technology initiatives with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.

- 2+ years of proven experience in IT fields that related to IT Infra, Data, API, Web or Mobile App Development

- Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies

Required Competencies and Skills

1. Strong understanding of database management systems, software development methodologies, and IT infrastructure.

2. Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including IT professionals, business analysts, project managers, compliance officers, and banking staff, to ensure alignment of technology initiatives with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

3. Ability to manage projects related to the implementation of new banking technologies, system upgrades, or process improvements, including planning, execution, monitoring, and stakeholder coordination.

4. Ability to analyse complex technical problems, evaluate alternative solutions, and recommend effective strategies or approaches.

5. Capacity to troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions in a timely manner.

6. Understanding of banking products, services, processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.

7. Knowledge of security best practices, data protection regulations (e.g., PCI DSS), and compliance requirements specific to the banking industry (e.g., KYC, AML).
