The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting the functional unit head in shaping and executing groupwide corporate communications, marketing and creative strategies, enhancing our brand image and fostering positive relationships with various stakeholders.
Assisting the Group Communications functional unit head in the formulation of groupwide Communications, Marketing and Creative strategies and the effective implementation and execution of initiatives
comprising of, and not limited to, the following areas:- Developing and implementing comprehensive groupwide communications, marketing and creative strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
Managing internal and external communications channels, including but not limited to, website content management system (CMS), social media platforms, broadcast channels via the intranet and regulated Whatsapp internal groups and various corporate and market-fronting representations such as publications, profiling, branded and media materials.
- Serving as a second in line for media inquiries and build strong relationships with journalists and media outlets of various mediums (mainstream and non-mainstream, traditional and digital).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding applications across groupwide communications channels.- Monitoring and analyzing media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
Planning and executing corporate events, including media conferences, collaboration events, stakeholder visits, and suitable industry/trade fair participations.
- Providing the functional departments administrative and groundwork support for groupwide communications, marketing and creative initiatives with the directives of the Group Communications functional unit head.
Supervising and following up, where necessary, and ensuring functional actions plans and their respective timelines, including those of inter-departmental or cross-functional projects and assignments are monitored from conception to execution.
Minimum 4-5 years experience in corporate communications or related functions, preferably with diversified public listed companies or group of companies.- Experience in the full spectrum of communications and reputation management responsibilities with supplementary experience in marketing would be an advantage.
Exceptional writing and editing skills with proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both oral and written, with an eye for detail and great interpersonal skills.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Relationship-building prowess with various stakeholders.- Good working knowledge in the full suite of Office-related programmes, various automation and digitalization tools and applications related to the communications, marketing and creative functions with the ability to analyze and interpret data.
Familiarity with digital media management.
- Detailed, meticulous and organized in the administrative and execution responsibilities including and not limited to: info-data management, profiling and related documentation preparation, reviews and revision tracking of communications, marketing and creative materials
