Summary
You will be responsible for assisting with the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting associate, guest and owner expectations. The Events Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events, including corporate functions, conferences, weddings, and other special occasions. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their needs, managing event budgets, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring the smooth execution of events.
Qualifications
- Due to work permit restrictions, this position is only open for Malaysian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Malaysia.
- Ideally with a university degree/diploma in Hospitality, Tourism management or any other relevant courses.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in events sales and events planning within the hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets, driving revenue growth and experience in preparing and delivering sales presentations and proposals.
- Good interpersonal, negotiation and time management skills as well as attention to detail, and computer proficiency are essential.
