Responsibility- Financial Analysis: Conducting in-depth financial analysis of companies, including reviewing financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to assess their financial health and performance.
Industry Research: Researching and analyzing specific industries or sectors to understand their dynamics, trends, and competitive landscape. This helps in evaluating how external factors may impact the performance of companies within those industries.- Company Evaluation: Evaluating individual companies by examining factors such as management quality, competitive positioning, growth prospects, and potential risks. This involves conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis to determine the intrinsic value of a company's stock.
Valuation: Using various valuation methodologies such as discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis (CCA), and precedent transactions to estimate the fair value of a company's stock.
- Market Monitoring: Monitoring financial markets, including stock exchanges, economic indicators, and geopolitical events, to identify investment opportunities and risks.
Recommendations: Generating investment recommendations, including buy, sell, or hold ratings on stocks based on analysis and research findings. These recommendations are often communicated to portfolio managers, institutional investors, or clients.- Report Writing: Preparing research reports, investment summaries, and presentations to communicate analysis, findings, and recommendations to internal stakeholders or clients.
Client Interaction: Interacting with clients, portfolio managers, and other stakeholders to discuss investment strategies, present research findings, and address inquiries or concerns.
- Continuous Learning: Keeping abreast of developments in financial markets, regulatory changes, and industry trends through ongoing research, training, and professional development.
Risk Management: Identifying and assessing investment risks, including financial, operational, regulatory, and market risks, and incorporating risk management strategies into investment recommendations.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in equity research, advisory/ management consulting/ research house with a license for Investment Advice from the SC (preferable)
Possess an excellent command of English & Mandarin (written and spoken) as well as excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Proven track record of generating actionable investment ideas and producing high-quality research reports.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of analysts.- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively articulate complex ideas and market insights.
Deep understanding of financial markets, valuation methodologies, and investment analysis techniques.
