Environmental, Health and Safety (ISO Documentation) Officer

Basic Salary: RM3,000 - 5,000

Location: Jalan Bunga Raya, Batu 5, Off Jalan Teratai Klang

Working Hours: Mon-Fri: 8:00am-5:00pm; Alternate Sat: 8:00-1:00pm

• Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our recycling company. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing health and safety protocols, with a strong background in ISO documentation and foreign worker management. The Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and compliance with health and safety regulations specific to the recycling industry.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Health and Safety Management:

Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.

• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.

• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions.

• ISO Documentation:

Maintain and manage ISO 45001 documentation.

• Ensure all health and safety procedures and records are up to date and comply with ISO standards.

Coordinate and support internal and external audits.

• Foreign Worker Management:

Ensure the health and safety needs of foreign workers are met.

• Provide safety training and orientation for foreign workers.

Monitor and ensure compliance with labor laws related to foreign workers.

• Training and Development:

Conduct health and safety training sessions for employees.

• Develop training materials and safety manuals.

Promote a culture of safety within the organization.

• Emergency Response:

Develop and implement emergency response plans.

• Coordinate emergency drills and exercises.

Ensure all employees are aware of emergency procedures.

• Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in the recycling industry.

Certification in ISO 45001 or equivalent.

• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.

Experience in managing foreign workers.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to conduct training sessions and presentations.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
