Job Purpose
Coordinate, execute and manage overall shift operations and maintenance activities in order to achieve safe, reliable and efficient plant operation and maintenance whilst optimizing the plant production and minimizing maintenance costs, in compliance to regulations and statutory requirements to meet production target and to achieve world class Operational Excellence throughout the asset life cycle.

Qualification & Experience
Qualification
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferably registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of total working experiences in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical complexes; covering both plant maintenance and projects.
- Preferably 7 years in Polymer plant operations and maintenance with knowledge on code of practices, maintenance standard, safe practices including PETRONAS Technical Standards (PTS) and statutory regulations.
- Knowledgeable in Polyethylene Operations Technology i.e in slurry or gas phase technology with strong operations analytical skills to assess opportunity for improvements.
- Knowledgeable with Quality Control/Quality Assurance and HSE management in projects and quality management principles, ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and OSHA 18001.

Major Challenge
- To manage shift team in respect to a plant in the integrated RCPC operation which is a complex petrochemical employing the state of the art and unfamiliar new technology i.e. slurry process.
- Establishing a continuous conducive shift working environment and maintaining an effective and strong support from external parties taking into consideration of diversity in political, economic, social and legal implication to business.
- Must be able to manage the uncertainty associated with the business, people and maintain good community relations and enhance JV Company/PETRONAS/ or PCG image.
- Reliability of complex and sophisticated electrical & control system as part of the built-in technology advancement.
- Reliability of big machineries with good maintenance support and services by OEM and vendors.
- Communication protocol of various/multiple parties during business planning, normal, abnormal and emergency situation.
- Managing and integrating between shift team, operation team and area maintenance team (AMT) together with central maintenance.
