Job Summary
Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance employee satisfaction, morale, and overall engagement within an organization, through nurturing a positive and supportive workplace culture that empowers employees to perform their best and contribute to the organization's success.
The primary goal is to create a positive work environment that fosters productivity, collaboration, and loyalty among employees.
Job Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive employee engagement strategies aligned with the organization's goals and values
- Culture Building: Promoting and reinforcing the organization's values, culture, and mission to create a sense of belonging and purpose among employees
- Communication and Engagement Initiatives: Developing communication strategies and engagement initiatives to keep employees informed, motivated, and engaged. Ensure transparent and effective communication across the organization, keeping employees informed about company updates, goals, and initiatives This could include organizing team-building activities, social events, and wellness programs.
- Employee Well-being: Champion employee well-being initiatives by promoting work-life balance, offering wellness programs, and providing resources to support physical, mental, and emotional health.
- Team Building and Events: Organize team-building activities, social events, and networking opportunities to foster strong relationships and a sense of community among employees.
- Employee Feedback and Surveys: Conducting employee surveys and feedback sessions to assess employee satisfaction, identify areas for improvement, and gather insights into employee concerns and needs.
- Employee Recognition Programs: Developing and implementing employee recognition programs to acknowledge and reward outstanding performance, dedication, and achievements. This could include any forms of recognition
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing employee engagement data, metrics, and trends to track progress, measure the effectiveness of engagement initiatives, and make data-driven decisions to improve employee engagement strategies
Qualifications
- Possess minimum Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management/ Social Sciences/ Marketing or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal & written
- Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative and inclusive approach
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to develop innovative engagement initiatives
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS software preferred.
- Possess own transportation and willing to travel if necessary
- Minimum 10 years working experience, with at least 2 years of managerial role in Human Resources, preferably from retail industry.
- Experience in employee engagement, or related field, with a strong understanding of employee engagement principles and best practices.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and organizational needs.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the latest Malaysia labor law and legislations
- Highly professional, well rounded, with ability to interact comfortably with all levels
- Strong in quantitative / spreadsheets (eg. excel), analytical, problem solving and able to interpret statistical information
- Demonstrate high personal and professional integrity
