Our Client is a leading engineering consultancy firm in Malaysia, renowned for delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Having primary / secondary substation/plant design expertise and contribute to delivery of transmission, distribution and/or power quality projects.
- Prepare standards and focus on continuous improvements both technically and functionally.
- Prepare concept design of HV and MV electrical works, specific for Interconnection points, including bill of material, equipment specification and electrical drawings.
- Prepare tender documentation including scope of work to contractors, technical specification, tender plan and tender evaluation.
- Carry out design calculation deemed necessary for executing and maintenance of the project, which includes, short circuit calculation, load flow, cable sizing, lighting calculation, earthing calculation & etc.
- Preform and Review electrical study report such as Power System Study, Load Flow Study, Load Profile Study, Grid impact Study, Insulation Coordination Study Protection Coordination Study, Adequacy Report Study & etc.
- Prepare and focus on continuous improvements both technically and functionally.
Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Possess at least Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems
- At least 10 years of working experience in related work (design, constructions and commissioning related to HV and MV electrical engineering)
- Possess at least Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems
- Min 6 to 8 years related work experience in design, constructions and commissioning related to HV and MV electrical engineering
- Large Scale Solar PV System and Wind Generator installation/construction will be beneficial
- Proficient knowledge of T&D equipment, such as switchgear, circuit breakers, disconnectors, cables, power transformers etc.
- Technical knowledge and understanding of international Engineering Design and Construction standards for High Voltage, Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Electrical systems from Preliminary Design, Construction to Commissioning and Maintenance.
- Possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skill
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office
- Must Able to do analysis/simulate of Electrical Simulation Software such as ETAP, Siemen PTI PSS/E, PSCAD, Power factory.
