Job Description
Execute EH&S programmes to improve the organization's environmental and safety performance, and ensure they comply with current and future regulations and standards, and protect its reputation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct safety audits and on-site inspections to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment, working practices, or working condition.
- Investigate accidents, complete or verify accident reports, and liaise with technical specialists and external health and safety authorities to identify the causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence.
- Facilitate EH&S related program, projects and meetings.
- Recommend changes to working processes and conditions to ensure that all employees have a safe and healthy working environment and that the organization complies with all current and future regulations and laws and the organization's safety policies and standards.
- Educate and train the workforce on health and safety to ensure understanding and compliance
- Monitor permits, licenses & statutory requirements.
- Communicate with internal & external parties on relevant EH&S information
Qualifications
- Min Bachelor Degree in EHS. Certificate in occupational health and safety encouraged to apply.
- Proven experience as EHS Officer with min of 3 years of experience in manufacturing industry.
- In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures
- Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
- Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
- Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
- Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus

- Diligent with great attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topic
