- Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Safety Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. The EHS Engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, developing and implementing EHS programs, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with EHS standards and identify potential hazards.
Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate EHS considerations into project planning and operations.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of EHS activities, including incident reports, inspection logs, and training records.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to reduce EHS risks.
- Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes, and implement best practices to enhance EHS performance.
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in [industry/sector].
Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and influence others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) are a plus.
