ED, Strategy & Transformation Office - (24000186)
Plays a crucial role in supporting the Head of Strategy & Transformation in driving the strategic priorities of the Bank. This individual will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of key strategic initiatives, conducting research and analysis, and providing recommendations to support decision-making processes. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to ensure alignment and successful execution of strategic objectives.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to define the bank's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the overall business goals and objectives. Conduct research and analysis on market trends, competitive landscape, and industry best practices to identify strategic opportunities and potential risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights, and provide recommendations on strategic initiatives and projects.
Facilitate cross-divisional discussions on the development and implementation of new operational capabilities, digital products / platforms / services, data-driven solutions, etc. to support achievement of Business objectives.
Project Management: Assist in the development and implementation of strategic frameworks, tools, and processes to improve strategic planning and execution. Monitor and track progress on strategic initiatives, identifying any deviations or obstacles, and proposing corrective actions as necessary. This involves setting timelines, allocating resources, monitoring progress, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Change Management: Support change management efforts for organizational adoption and acceptance of strategic/transformation initiatives. Guide change management strategies, communication plans, and training programs for implementation by relevant support units to facilitate smooth transitions and minimize resistance.
Sustainability: Coordinate and drive OCBC Malaysias sustainability & climate-related programmes across the bank (i.e., Business, Risk, Operations, capability building, governance & reporting), as well as serving as liaison to Group and representative of the Bank in industry/regulatory engagements.
Support the Head of Strategy & Transformation in the preparation of presentations, reports, and other communication materials for executive leadership and board meetings as well as building and maintaining relationships with external partners, industry experts, and key stakeholders to gather insights and identify potential collaboration opportunities.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer experience. Steer cross-functional teams tasked with analysing existing processes, identifying pain points, then developing and implementing solutions to streamline operations.
Others: NPAP Functional Specialist for strategy and sustainability related matters; (Assistant) divisional co-ordinator (DCO) for regulatory compliance matters; (Alternate) operational risk partner (ORP).
Provide ad-hoc support to the Head of Strategy & Transformation on special projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications
Degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Finance or related area preferred.
Strong change management background with proven track record of delivering results in developing, implementation and driving strategies.
Agile in managing multiple projects and stakeholders, and have a collaborative approach to providing solutions to streamline processes.
Meticulous and self-initiated with strong project management skills.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision as well as a strong team player.
Committed to service excellence and quality in area of work.
Possess strategic thinking, problem solving and continuous improvement skills.
Possess good English writing skills as well as good communication and interpersonal skills.
