We are looking for an Ecommerce/Web Developer. As an Ecommerce/Web Developer, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our online retail operations. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing our e-commerce and web platforms to enhance user experience, increase conversion rates, and maximize sales. This role requires a combination of analytical skills, technical proficiency, and strategic thinking to effectively manage product listings, implement pricing strategies, and optimize the overall e-commerce experience for our customers. This is a full-time, remote/hybrid role. You will report to our Digital Marketing Manager.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and maintain the company's e-commerce & web platforms, including the website and any third-party marketplaces, ensuring they are user-friendly, visually appealing, and optimized for performance.
- Oversee product listings, including product descriptions, images, pricing, and inventory levels, to ensure accuracy and consistency across all platforms.
- Implement pricing strategies, discounts, promotions, and product bundles to drive sales and maximize revenue.
- Analyze website traffic, user behavior, and sales data to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement, leveraging tools such as Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute e-commerce marketing campaigns, including email marketing, paid advertising, and social media promotions, to drive traffic and increase sales.
- Monitor competitor pricing, product offerings, and promotional activities to stay informed about market trends and identify areas for differentiation.
- Work closely with the customer service team to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers.
- Continuously test and optimize website features, layouts, and functionality to improve user experience, increase conversion rates, and reduce cart abandonment.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in e-commerce and online retail, and proactively recommend innovative solutions to enhance the company's e-commerce strategy.
- Generate regular reports and performance metrics related to e-commerce sales, traffic, and conversion rates, and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
- Degree/diploma in Marketing, Business, E-commerce/IT, or related field.
- Proven experience in e-commerce management, preferably within the fashion, beauty, or lifestyle industries.
- Proficiency with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency with website development & editing in languages such as HTML and Javascript.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform decision-making and optimize e-commerce & website performance.
- Experience with website analytics tools such as Google Analytics or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and their application in e-commerce settings.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and consistency in managing product listings and pricing.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality.
- Creative thinker with a customer-centric mindset, able to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in the e-commerce experience.
