APAC Associate Director
A global asset servicing firm is seeking a dedicated professional for the role of Director of PE Fund Services. The role will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The successful candidate will manage the fund administration teams for Private Equity, Real Estate, and Hybrid Clients.
Responsibilities:
Oversee fund accounting teams to deliver a comprehensive range of fund administration services.
Ensure accurate calculation and reporting of Net Asset Value (NAV).
Supervise all aspects of investor servicing activities, including investor onboarding, capital calls, distributions, and other investor reporting.
Maintain a clear understanding of fund documentation and apply the terms to financial reporting and income and expense allocations.
Oversee the review of financial statements and footnotes for audit purposes.
Liaise with banks, auditors, brokers, and custodians to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
Lead the onboarding process for new funds.
Act as the main contact for clients on daily operational matters, issue discussions, and other requests.
Identify and implement opportunities for internal process improvements and operational efficiency.
Participate in client pitches and other sales initiatives as a subject matter expert.
Qualifications:
A degree in Banking/ Finance/ Mathematics/ Accounting/Economics. A qualified accountant is preferred.
A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in fund administration serving Private Equity and/or Real Estate Clients.
Proficient computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office products. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required.
Comprehensive understanding of IFRS, US GAAP and GAAP; familiarity with Luxembourg GAAP, Japanese GAAP, Singapore GAAP would be beneficial.
Experience with Yardi & Geneva accounting software would be an advantage.

Understanding of the APAC region and its business culture.
