What would you do
The Director, IT Governance is responsible for establishing and maintaining a framework for IT governance that ensures alignment of IT strategy with business goals, compliance with regulatory requirements, risk management, performance measurement, and policy enforcement. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong understanding of IT systems, governance frameworks, and best practices in risk management.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT governance framework that aligns with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the IT governance strategy supports the overall business strategy and objectives.
- Review and update the governance framework regularly to adapt to changing business needs, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements.
- Identify, assess, and manage IT-related risks to ensure they are within acceptable levels.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Overseeing system change management processes to ensure that all changes are systematically evaluated, approved, and implemented in a controlled manner, minimizing risks and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to conduct IT audits and ensure compliance.
- Oversee the effective allocation and utilization of IT resources, including infrastructure, applications, and personnel.
- Provide regular updates to CTO on IT governance, risk management, and compliance status.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate IT performance and prepare detailed reports to CTO
- Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards across the organization.
- Ensure that all IT activities adhere to established policies and procedures.
- Take corrective actions in cases of policy violations and ensure continuous compliance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the IT department.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in IT governance and risk management.
- Implement initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Who should join us
- Min. 12 years of experience in IT governance, risk management, and compliance roles, with a minimum of 6 years in a leadership position.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CGEIT, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, and ISO/IEC 38500.
- Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT governance and risk management.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective IT governance strategies and frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and align IT governance with business goals.
- Risk Management: Proficient in identifying, assessing, and managing IT-related risks.
- Compliance: Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.

- Leadership: Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate the IT governance team.
