Job Title: Director, Institutional Business Development, Brokerage

Location: Japan / India / Thailand (Each region 1 vacancy)

Job Type: Full-Time

Reports To: CEO

Job Overview:

The Director of Institutional Business Development is responsible for leading the strategic development and growth of the brokerage firm's institutional client base in the country. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, forging strong relationships with institutional clients, and developing customized solutions to meet their business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive growth in the institutional business in the country.
  • Identify emerging market trends and business opportunities to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Analyse competitors offerings and market positioning to develop competitive strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align business development strategies with overall company goals.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our securities products and solutions, including trading platforms, risk management systems, and regulatory compliance tools. Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor offerings.
  • Facilitate the communication between our product team and the clients to design and offer customized solutions that meet the specific needs of the clients.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, progress, and results to senior management.

  • Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

  • Identify and target potential institutional clients, such as broker-dealers, fintech companies.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with institutional clients.
  • Conduct client presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the functionality and performance of our solutions to secure new business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in institutional sales or business development within the brokerage or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and institutional client needs.
  • Proven track record of successfully acquiring and managing institutional clients.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Proficiency in Local Language and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
