Position Overview
The person in this position is responsible for managing health (medical reimbursement) product portfolio and infrastructure for RGAs clients in the Southeast Asia markets. He/she will lead the data, experience analysis and support the structuring of reinsurance deals with minimum supervision and in collaboration with other stakeholders including health pricing, business development, underwriting, claims and regional offices.
Responsibilities
Manage the profitability and sustainability of health (medical reimbursement) business
Maintain/improve the infrastructure of the health business by governing the end-to-end process, such as:
Govern and maintain the framework and infrastructure of health business
Review the standard term sheet and clauses
Defines actions and escalations in treaty delay
Ensure timely data and statements
Run the monthly portfolio management meeting, including leading and coordinating all associated activities related such as preparation meetings, additional experience studies, monitoring activities, identifying and tracking rate review and management actions
Drive the database management and data monitoring process
Lead the standardized database project, to provide standardized dashboard, experience analysis, and data to other key internal stakeholders.
Regularly interact with key client to provide insights on experience analysis, claims and underwriting management.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in math, finance, statistics, actuarial science or related fields
Fellow of a globally recognized actuarial association
10+ years of actuarial working experience with at least 3 years of experience in health and medical reimbursement business. Portfolio management of Health Business is strongly preferred.
Good knowledge of Asian health insurance markets and product.
Highly organized, delivery-orientated with the ability to work with multiple concurrent projects
Highly motivated, results oriented and solutions focused
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence others
Strong technical skills and attention to detail
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
