JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Digital Strategist for Astro Media Solutions will be joining a high-performing and collaborative team that works hard and fast to grow and maintain strong relationships with direct clients and media agencies. As an integral part of the Media Sales team, this role will be primarily responsible for the following:
Digital ADEX Growth and Positioning
- Develop and advocate digital as the central offering in all media plans, emphasizing the impact of digital touchpoints.
- Establish Astro Digital as the go-to platform for digital-first brands in Malaysia by showcasing Astro Unique capabilities.
Supporting Sales and Strategic Pitches
- Working closely with sales representatives and marketing services to design and implement integrated campaigns that leverage Astro's diverse media channels, including TV, radio, and digital platforms.
- Support the sales team in client meetings and pitches, helping articulate digital's role in achieving campaign objectives.
- Customise pitch materials to show the complementarity of digital advertising within broader media strategies.
Identify Upsell Moments:
- Evaluate campaigns/brands for moments where digital add-ons could amplify results, using data to present clients with tailored upsell recommendations.
Foster Open Communication with Clients:
- Maintain regular campaign updates with clients to build transparency and trust.
- Suggest proactive adjustments mid-campaign, such as targeting refinements or creative changes, to optimise outcomes and enhance the client's experience.
Collaborate with the Digital Product Team
- Identify gaps in the digital product suite by gathering sales and client feedback on missing tools or desired features.
- Pilot new solutions with select clients, gather feedback, and refine products in collaboration with the product team to align with market needs.
Ensure Seamless Campaign Execution
- Establish and document clear workflows for the setup, execution, and reporting of digital campaigns to streamline processes and reduce errors.
- Integrate quality control checkpoints at critical campaign phases (pre-launch, mid-campaign, and post-campaign) to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Focus on Stakeholder Experience

REQUIREMENTS:
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree graduates / Diploma with related marketing/creative/business experience preferably in media, public relations, advertising or broadcasting industry
- Preferably 5 years working experience in digital media and advertising industry.
- Experience in creating and executing digital advertising strategies, including knowledge of digital trends, ad platforms (e.g., Google Ads, programmatic platforms), and multi-channel campaigns (TV, radio, digital).
- Strong knowledge of ad techs, analytics and reporting tools, as well as digital advertising technologies (e.g., ad servers, DMPs, SSPs).
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
