Duties & Responsibilities- Responsible in identifying nutritional problems, assessing the nutritional status of patients, developing care plans and monitoring the effectiveness of dietary changes practicing current evidence based nutrition care.
Expected to coordinate with other healthcare professionals as a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care.- Responsible in educating staffs, student nurses and the public on current food and nutrition issues.
Responsible in monitoring the food service operation to ensure that it is operating in accordance to the nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards.
Bachelor or Post Graduate in Nutrition and Dietetics or any equivalent qualifications.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge and application of nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.- Proficiency in multiple languages will be an added advantage.
Able to empower patients in behavior modification.
- Ability to function independently when assigned patient care units.
General knowledge of nutrition analysis and Microsoft Office.- Good knowledge on preparation of therapeutic diet and catering services.
Preferred Chinese candidates.
Required to work on either half or full day on Saturdays according to the arranged work schedule.
- Able to withstand the working environment (heat in the kitchen), to overlook matters in the food services department.
Should be physically fit.
- Required to move around frequently to enable active monitoring of the food services operation.
