Roles & responsibilities:- Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and related software, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
Monitor system performance, perform regular backups, and conduct security audits and patch management.- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, providing support for system outages and other problems.
Provide technical support and guidance to users and IT team members regarding Windows system issues.
- Collaborate with network administrators to ensure the smooth and reliable operation of network services and resources.
Implement and enforce security policies, including user access controls and data protection measures.- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
Develop and implement scripts and automation tools to streamline system management tasks.
- Ensure systems comply with organizational policies and industry standards.
- Technical Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (Windows Server 2016, 2019, etc.).
Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments.- Competency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).
Understanding of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, etc.).
- Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
