Position Title: Desktop Support Engineer (Band 2)
- Working Location: Kuala Lumpur / Penang
Working Hours: 5 days (Monday to Friday, 9 AM 6 PM)
- Salary Package: Basic Salary up to MYR4,000 + Performance Bonus + Transport Allowance
Duration: Permanent Role
Respond to and resolve customer technical issues at a second-level support capacity.- Collaborate with Third Party Vendors for intricate AV (Audio/Visual) issue resolution when necessary.
Communicate clearly and promptly about the status and resolution of issues.
- Keep a detailed log of incidents in the ticketing system.
Install, update, and solve problems related to operating systems including XP, Windows 7, Windows - 1, Windows 10, and software like Microsoft Office 2010 and Cisco Jabber.
- Have a basic understanding of the Mac operating system to assist Apple computer users.
Set up, update, and fix issues with printers and computer hardware.
- Carry out routine maintenance for computers, laptops, printers.
Fix any issues with desktops, laptops, printers, and other approved equipment.- Utilize diagnostic tools to address network connectivity and hardware/software problems.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or the equivalent.- At least a year of IT experience or an appropriate equivalent.
Having CompTIA A+, MCP qualifications, or similar is a plus.
- Wide-ranging IT knowledge, particularly in networks, servers, audio/visual tech, smart devices, and telecommunications.
Preferably experienced with Windows 7 to Windows 10, Microsoft Active Directory and GPOs, MS Office 365, PC hardware, enterprise anti-virus solutions, or Helpdesk ticketing systems.
