Design & Engineering

The Design Engineering APAC team comprises a skilled team of Design Managers, Program Managers, and experts in Engineering and DC Architecture. Our collective expertise is harnessed to create customized adaptations of the cutting-edge Vantage Data Center prototype that perfectly cater to the unique requirements of our customers. Throughout this process, close collaboration takes place with Sales, Operations, and management teams. The Design Engineering team also maintains a close partnership with the Construction team, working together to craft a seamlessly integrated design that ensures the efficient execution of new and existing standards and designs.

Position Overview

Vantage is looking for a self-starting Design & Engineering Intern to help drive the Design & Engineering Department process and daily task efforts across several ongoing projects and vendors. In this internship program you will have the opportunity to work closely with a team that supports the designs and development of the data centers.

Essential Job Functions

Conduct research and analysis to support the development of new technologies and practices, including exploring opportunities for sustainability in design.

Support the electrical Design & Engineering team in various projects and initiatives.

Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for data center facilities, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and fire alarm systems.

Assist in the coordination of project activities with other disciplines, including mechanical engineering, construction, and operations.

Duties

• Collaborate with various cross functional teams related to building design construction and Operations.
• Work with Architectural, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Subject Matter Experts (SMES).
• Documenting and presenting on initiatives you are involved in.

Job Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical engineering
• Skilled at problem solving, creative thinking and communications.
• Understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, SharePoint
• Opportunities for Travel may exist.
