Deputy Manager, Underwriting

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Approve and decline takaful applicants based on risk analysis guided with Retakaful underwriting guidelines.

• Periodically update on new or enhanced product(s) and/or services in order to maintain a high level of quality service to customers.

• Support reporting Manager in meeting agreed section's productivity and performance.

• Ensures section complies with all regulatory and corporate requirements.

• To discharge the accountabilities as set out in the company's anti-money laundering framework by identifying suspicious customers and transactions and report to Money Laundering Prevention Officer in a timely manner.

Job Requirements:

• A degree in Biomedical Science/Biology/Health Science or any field related to human biology or public health.

• At least 3 years experience in medical underwriting with good knowledge of medical conditions.

• Possess the confidence to make decisions and solve problems.
