Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical sales data, market trends, and input from sales and marketing teams.
Use forecasting tools and software to analyze data and predict future demand patterns.- Monitor and adjust forecasts regularly to reflect changes in market conditions, promotional activities, or other influencing factors.
Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure that inventory levels are optimized to meet forecasted demand.
- Identify potential shortages or excess inventory situations and recommend corrective actions.
Assist in setting inventory targets and reorder points based on demand forecasts.- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand upcoming campaigns, product launches, and promotions that may impact demand.
Communicate demand forecasts and inventory status to relevant stakeholders, including supply chain, production, and finance teams.
- Provide regular updates on demand forecast accuracy and performance metrics.
Analyze sales data, market trends, and other relevant information to identify patterns and insights that can improve demand forecasting accuracy.- Generate regular reports on demand forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and other key performance indicators.
Present findings and recommendations to management to support decision-making.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve the demand planning process by implementing best practices and new forecasting techniques.
Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of demand forecasting and inventory management.- Identify potential risks to the demand plan, such as supply chain disruptions, market fluctuations, or changes in consumer behavior.
Develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks and ensure that the company can meet customer demand even in challenging situations.
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or a similar role.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in demand forecasting tools and software.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
