Qualifications & experience

• PhD degree in a relevant field Hospitality and Tourism from a recognized institution.

A minimum of 10 years of related work experience, with at least 5 years spent in a supervisory/leadership role within a public and private higher education.

• Proven administrative leadership, academic and research in higher education

Proven success in leading accreditation processes, academic excellence and innovative research

• Effective strategic thinker, with strong interpersonal and critical problem-solving skills

Proven ability to grow and succeed academically and commercially among external stakeholders and the government

• Tasks & responsibilities

Academic Leadership: Providing visionary leadership to the faculty, setting academic goals, and ensuring alignment with the institution's mission and objectives.

• Curriculum Development: Overseeing the design and development of academic programs and courses, ensuring relevance, innovation, and compliance with accreditation standards.

Faculty Management: Recruiting, mentoring, and evaluating faculty members, fostering a collaborative and supportive academic environment, and promoting professional development.

• Strategic Planning: Collaborating with university leadership in strategic planning, contributing to the development and execution of the overall academic strategy.

Student Success: Focusing on student outcomes, academic excellence, and student support services to enhance the overall learning experience.

• Research and Scholarship: Encouraging and supporting faculty research and scholarly activities, contributing to the advancement of knowledge within the respective field

Community Engagement: Establishing and maintaining partnerships with external stakeholders, fostering community relations, and enhancing the faculty's reputation.

• Accreditation Compliance: Ensuring that the faculty's programs meet accreditation standards and working towards continuous improvement.
