We are seeking a skilled Data Modeler and Data Quality Analyst to join our team and maintain the integrity of our insurance data platform. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our data structures effectively support our business objectives while adhering to best practices in data modeling and quality analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and develop data modeling practices, standards, and guidelines.
- Create and manage conceptual, logical, and physical data models, as well as metadata.
- Collaborate with data analysts to define data requirements and design corresponding data models.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure database design aligns with application needs.
- Conduct thorough data analysis and quality assurance to uphold data integrity and consistency.
- Implement changes and modifications to database schemas.
- Document data models, metadata, data flows, data dictionaries, standards, and processes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data modeling.
- Proficient in data modeling tools (e.g., ERwin or equivalent).
- Strong experience in data quality analysis using SQL.
- Knowledge of data warehouse design with databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, or MySQL, including performance evaluation and tuning.
- Familiarity with data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
