Data Governance Specialist

Job Purpose :

Data Analytics and Data Governance is part of the global & and cross functional Chief Data Officer team. The incumbent is responsible to further develop and strengthen the Data Management Framework, improve the Data Quality and ensure the regulatory compliance of our Data Governance in Asia:

Data Governance

Operationalize the top-down Data Management objectives.

Participation and contribution to the Data Steward Community and meetings.

Ensuring operational compliance with the respective global (e.g. BCBS 239) or local (e.g. New York DFS 504) regulation in cooperation with the CDO Asia.

Meta Data

Functional and technical definition and descriptions for data elements and data flows in cooperation with Asian Data Stewarts.

Regular controls of metadata, data flows and the resulting control cycles.

Collaboration on Data Delivery Agreements with other Data Stewards.

Data Quality

Ensuring data quality in Asia (Data Quality Management).

Specification of DQ requirements, rules & coordinating of the implementation of controls.

Reporting, Analysis and Coordination of Cleansing of Data Quality issues between Org Units.

Key Activities :

1) In Cooperation with the CDO and all Data Stewards in Asia across different functions you are

responsible of the Asia data flow documentation.

2) In Cooperation with the Global CDO Office you are in charge of the Tool Datamap in Asia and you are connecting the functional departments with the delivery organization.

3) Together with the CDA Asia you are developing Data Quality measurements, KPI's and coordinating the improvement of the Data Quality and you are preparing then Management Reporting on Data Quality in a business user friendly format.

Formal Education :

University degree / diploma / tertiary education

Specialist Knowledge :

Strong business background and deep knowledge of the data owned by the cluster.

Good understanding of Data Architectures in financial institutions.

Proven experience in the areas of Data Modelling Data Lineage/ Flow management, Data Quality

Management, Data Governance.

Advanced Data Analytics and Data Intelligence experience, advanced SQL knowledge is a must, phyton is an advantage.

Additional Criteria

Proficient in English language both written and spoken. Knowledge of another language would be an added advantage.

Proficient use of MS Office Suite.
