Data Engineer _onsite Malaysia

Description

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team in Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills and be able to work collaboratively with other teams to meet project requirements.Preference will be given to local Malaysians, and proficiency in the Chinese language is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements
• Optimize data processing and storage
• Ensure data quality and integrity
• Implement security and privacy measures for data systems
• Develop and maintain documentation for data systems

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 2-6 years of experience in data engineering
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience with data modeling, database design, and SQL
• Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Experience in the SEA job market is preferred
• Preference will be given to local Malaysians, and proficiency in the Chinese language is an added advantage.
