Role and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our team on a pioneering data lake project. This role involves processing extensive datasets from various sources including trading systems and CRM, and ensuring the data is clean, well-organized, and insightful. You will play a crucial role in extracting information and generating reports, utilizing AWS and Databricks, Apache spark platforms to enhance our data capabilities.

• Design and implement scalable and reliable data pipelines for data ingestion and integration from multiple sources into our data lake environment.
• Develop processes for data cleansing, transformation, and aggregation to ensure data quality and accessibility.
• Utilize Apache spark, Databricks and AWS to manage data workflows, perform exploratory data analysis, and create scalable data models.
• Write efficient, scalable, and clean code primarily in Python to support data engineering tasks.
• Collaborate with data analysts, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights through reports and dashboards.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines and data storage to handle large volumes of data effectively.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience in data engineering or a similar role.
• Proficient in Python with a strong coding background.
• Familiarity with data lake and/or data warehouse architecture and its implementation.
• Experience with AWS, Databricks, or similar platforms is beneficial but not required.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
