Job Summary:
Looking for an experienced and innovative Data & Security Architect to design and implement U Mobile's data architecture strategy. The candidate must have strong background in data modeling, database design, and data integration, and will be responsible for ensuring data infrastructure is scalable, secure, and optimized for performance. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic planning, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and drive data initiatives to drive business growth.
Job Responsibilities
- Achieve department's KPIs; as well as perform the responsibility to deliver Information Services Division's KPIs.
- Manage IT Architecture Strategy, conduct review and compliance process.
- Implement mitigation strategies to address risks and resolve issues.
- Design and maintain data & security architectures to support organizational goals and ensure data quality, security, and accessibility.
- Liaise and manage outsource vendors work progress to ensure projects will not deviate from the IT Architecture direction and strategy.
- Review IT solutions, including new IT systems, projects and Change Requests (CRs), to ensure solution proposed is best possible solution based on requirements and business demands as well as to ensure solutions are in line with the company's IT architecture direction.
- Work with Business and Solution Team and act as the business enablers in designing and planning best-in-class solution.
- Work closely with vendors and team members, to define, create solution architecture review for the relevant solution capability delivery stream.
- Collaborate with Solution Team to implements data and security standards, manage, optimize and protect the organization's data assets effectively.
- Provide guidance and direction to solution architecture in the relevant solution delivery stream.
- Participate and drive all solution relevant issues with capability delivery teams and vendors.
- Resolve design conflicts together with solution delivery and business process lead and provides analysis into data & security architecture, solution architecture, solution roadmap compatibility and extensibility, capacity and performance for design authority sessions as required.
- Identify, establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including clients, team members, and senior management.
Job Requirements
- DMBOK2 and NIST 2.0 certification is an added advantage.
- Relevant certifications in data architecture, data management, or related fields (e.g. TOGAF, ITIL).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in IT Architecture projects.
- Possess consulting experience with excellent presentation/communication skills and negotiating skills.
- Possess analysis, problem solving skills and people management skills.
- Ability to think out the box and seek out new possibilities, adapt to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in data modeling tools and database management systems.
- Strong knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data integration techniques.
- Deep understanding of core concepts in data and analytics platform architectures, including data warehousing, business intelligence, data management, integration, security and operations.
- Proficiency in cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) will be an added advantage.
