ABOUT THE ROLE:
Cyberdefense Consultant in Group-IB is a strategic cyber security advisor for our clients worldwide.
As a Cyberdefense consultant, you will be involved in conducting SOC Assessments, Threat Intelligence Consulting, SOC Development, and other consulting projects.
You will be involved in all phases of project and engagement management using the current project success as a jump-off point to drive new business opportunities.
TASKS TO SOLVE:
- SOC Assessments. Conduct thorough evaluations of Security Operations Centers and Cyber Defense Centers, develop assessment reports and roadmaps for the improvement's implementation.
- SOC Development. Develop SOC processes, playbooks and procedures for Incident Monitoring, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, and other SOC services.
- Threat Intelligence Consulting. Develop Threat Intelligence Programs, build Threat Landscapes, conduct Threat Modeling.
- Conduct workshops and trainings.
- Maintain active communication with potential clients at different stages of the project delivery to ensure clients satisfaction.
- Participate in consulting services maintenance and development.
- Participate in pre-sales and commercial proposal preparation activities.
- Conduct webinars and participate in professional cyber security conferences.
- Contribute to other service teams in their activities.
APPLY FOR THIS VACANCY IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, specifically in cyber defense.
- Familiarity with SOC-CMM Framework.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Understanding the principles of network and server infrastructure in large organizations.
- Deep knowledge of cyber security threat landscape and threat intelligence process.
- Strong experience in at least two of the following cyber security domains: SOC, Threat Intelligence, Cloud Security, Security Architecture, Anti-Fraud, Security Assessments.
- Experience in producing and developing documentation (Policies, Processes, Procedures, etc.)
- Experience in conducting security assessments and audits.
- Experience in project management and leading projects as a security architect/consultant.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
- Fluency in English and Malay.

- Experience in developing counter fraud and anti-fraud programs.
- Experience working with MITRE ATT&CK, RE&CT, and other cybersecurity frameworks.
- Familiarity with frameworks like NIST and ISO.
- Professional certificates such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, GCTI, and GSOM will be an advantage.
- Previous experience as a SOC expert/architect/consultant/manager.
- Knowledge and experience working with cyber security tools (SIEM, XDR/EDR, Threat Intelligence Platforms, NGFW, Anti-Fraud solutions, etc.).
- Familiarity with local cyber security regulations and frameworks.
